Patsy M. Hamilton, 75, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 2:20 P.M. August 7, 2019 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. She was born August 28, 1943 in Saint Louis, Missouri to the late John E. and Mary Ellen (Adams) Delaney. She was married to Robert E. Hamilton and he preceded her in death.
Patsy is survived by her four children, David Inman and friend, Leanna Welch, Christopher Inman , Stephen Inman and wife, Cyndi, and Susan Miller and husband, Charles, all of Mount Vernon; twenty-one grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, John Delaney and wife, Penny of Glen Carbon; son-in-law, Darrell Nauertz; sister-in-law, Phyllis Delaney of Benton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Hamilton was preceded in death by her son, Paul “Pugg” Inman, Jr.; daughter, Linda Nauerts; brother, Mike Delaney; and sister, Sarah Hutchcraft.
Patsy worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Jefferson Memorial Hospital and several area nursing homes, then later as a surgical technician for Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon. She was of the Pentecostal faith, was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Community Building of Rose Lane in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Inurnment will take place at Jordan Chapel Cemetery in Dix, Illinois at a later date. Memorials, in Patsy’s loving memory, may be made to the American Cancer Society or Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital.
