Leslie Dale Hall, 81, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 6:15 P.M. October 24, 2019 at his home with his family by his side. He was born March 31, 1938 in Williamson County, Illinois to the late Leslie and Helen (Mann) Hall. Leslie married Carolyn M. (Williams) Hall on December 12, 1964 in Jefferson County, Illinois, just south of Belle Rive. They were blessed with nearly 55 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife, Leslie is survived by his son, Timothy Wayne Hall and wife, Rachel (Greene) of Mount Vernon, Illinois; grandchildren, Corey Hall of Bluford, Illinois and Tyler Hall of Mount Vernon, Illinois; sister, Linda Ann (Hall) Daniels of Mount Vernon, Illinois; great-grandchildren, Aiden Hall and Leah Hall; sisters-in-law, Kay Depper of McAllen, Texas and Jane Bacon of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Leslie was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Ray Hall; granddaughter, Sylvie Lynn Hall; parents-in-law, Claude Herbert and Zana Lorena (Adams) Williams; and granddaughters-in-law, Lynn Hall and Sarah Hall.
Leslie proudly served his country in the United States Army from November 1956 to September 1959. He worked as a repair technician for many years at Illinois Bell and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and IBEW. Leslie was also a faithful member of East Side Baptist Church. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
A Greeting of Family and Friends will be held Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Bluford in Bluford, Illinois. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Corey Hall and Brother Robin Reynolds officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
