Judy Mae Woodward, 73, of Bluford, Illinois passed away at 11:56 A.M. March 23, 2019 at SSM Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She was born January 11, 1946 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Lee Edward Stone and Irene (Bayne) Stone. She married Harold Woodward on March 18, 1966 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. They were blessed with nearly 40 years of marriage when he preceded her in death on February 2, 2006.
Judy is survived by her fiancé, Ron Dixon of Mount Vernon; son, David Woodward and wife, Patricia of Mount Vernon; four granddaughters, Samantha Parks and husband, Quentin of Iowa, Shanna Hall and husband, Trey of Mount Vernon, Cheyenne Woodward USAF of Hampton, Virginia, and Taylor Woodward of Mount Vernon; sister, Barbara Hughey of Mount Vernon; daughter-in-law, Annette Woodward of Mount Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Edward Stone and Irene (Bayne) Stone ; husband; two sons, Tony A. Woodward and James Woodward; and one grandson, Branton Woodward.
Judy was dearly loved and will be missed by those who knew her.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. The Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, March 28, 2019 also at Hughey Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Griswald officiating. Interment will follow at West Salem Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Memorials, in Judy’s loving memory, may be made to the Donor's Choice of charities.
