Judith "Judy" A. Byars, 74, of Bluford, Illinois died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family at 2:52 A.M. October 10, 2018. She was born March 8, 1944 in Wayne County, Illinois to the late Arthur H. and Wilma N. (Kennedy) McKinney. She married William "Bill" Byars on September 26, 1986.
In addition to her husband, Bill, Judy is survived by her children, Barbara Richardson and spouse Bob of Bluford, Illinois, Ginger Stewart and spouse Brian of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Rick Daniels and spouse Angie of Bluford, Illinois, Kim Hampton and spouse Mark of Nashville, Tennessee; ten grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Byars was preceded in death by her daughter, Valerie Daniels; son, Darwin Daniels; grandson, Brandan Daniels; granddaughter, McKenzie Smith; and sister, Lois Harper.
Judy loved spending time with family and enjoyed evening rides in the country. She loved spending time quilting and held membership at the First Baptist Church in Bluford, Illinois. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 12, 2018 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois with the Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 P.M. Pastor Don Rector and Pastor Brian Bennett will officiate and interment will follow at Oakdale Cemetery in rural Bluford, Illinois. Memorials may be given to the Oakdale Cemetery.
