James "Jim" R. Redpath, 51, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 10:01 P.M. February 13, 2018 at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois. He was born March 15, 1966 in Sparta, Illinois to Howard & Sondra (Hall) Redpath. Jim was married to Dinah Farris and she survives.
Along with his parents, Mr. Redpath is survived by his daughter, Josee Redpath of Saint Louis, Missouri; son, Bryson Redpath and fiancee, Shelby of Mount Vernon, Illinois; granddaughter, Brinley Redpath of Mount Vernon, Illinois; sisters, Pam Schutte Stickney and husband, Michael of Dewey, Illinois and Diane Johnson and special friend, Kevin Mark Fosnock of Bluford, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Redpath was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Mount Vernon, worked as warehouse supervisor for NAPA, and was an avid sports fan. He served as a past member of King City Cycles and coached Junior Football League. In high school Jim played basketball, baseball, and football. He was a huge Illini Basketball fan and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation: 12:00 P.M. until Funeral Service Time, 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 17, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Reverend Rob Dyer officiating. Memorials: First Presbyterian Church.
