Obituary

Connie Eileen Heppe, 74, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 4:38 P.M. October 24, 2019 at her residence in Mount Vernon. She was born September 7, 1945 in Waltonville, Illinois to the late Virgil and Hazel (Mezo) Panzier. She married Robert L. "Bob" Heppe in 1963.

In addition to her husband of fifty-six years, Connie is survived by her children, John Heppe and wife, Julie of Waltonville, Illinois, Paul Heppe and wife, Staci of Sullivan, Illinois, Lisa Miller and husband, Chad of Manteno, Illinois; grandchildren, Jake and Jared Heppe, Brittany Posthumus and husband, Jake, Damien, and Ariel Heppe, C.J. Keigher, Austin and Alec Miller; great-grandchildren, Rylee, Lucas, Deegan, Caiden, and Braxton; and brothers, Jerry Panzier of Waltonville, Illinois, and Ray Panzier and wife, Margie of Waltonville, Illinois.

In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Margaret Panzier.

Connie worked Security Lumber in Bradley, Illinois for several years until retirement and then moving to Mount Vernon. Mrs. Heppe was a homemaker. She loved to cook and bake for her family. She enjoyed playing bunco with the girls from church and spending time with friends. Connie was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved to read and put together jigsaw puzzles

A Visitation will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 P.M.  with Reverend David Mishler and Reverend David Milburn officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Residential Hospice or Bakerville Free Will Baptist Church.
