Bobby L. Hall, 66, of Woodlawn, Illinois passed away with his family by his side at 1:26 A.M. October 21, 2019 at his residence in Woodlawn. He was born November 15, 1952 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to Don and Ima Jewell (Piercy) Hall. He married Cheryl O’Daniell on October 14, 1972 and they were blessed with forty-seven years of marriage.
In addition to his parents and wife, Bobby is survived by his children, Bryan Hall and wife, Alicia of Woodlawn, Illinois, Tracy Ritter and husband, Aaron of Fenton, Missouri; grandchildren, Blair Upchurch and husband, Shawn of Summersville, Illinois, Ethan Hall of Camp Pendleton, California, Cade Ritter of Fenton, Missouri, and Kendal Ritter of Fenton, Missouri; great-grandson, Alex Upchurch of Summersville, Illinois; brother, David Hall and wife, Debbie of Pevely, Missouri; sister, Carla Huskey of Woodlawn, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
Bobby graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale with a Bachelor in Agriculture. Mr. Hall worked for the Illinois Agriculture Association as a Farm Bureau manager serving several counties including Lawrence, Pulaski, Alexander, Union and Jackson. After retirement in 2010, he moved back to Jefferson County. He was a current member of Casner Township Board, Odd Fellows Cemetery Board, and the NRA. Bobby was very active in Park Avenue Baptist Church. He enjoyed firearms and outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and hunting with family and friends. He instilled this passion within his children and grandchildren. Bobby enjoyed many things but his greatest joy in life was his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and will be dearly missed.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Hughey Funeral Home with Reverend Merle Fullerton and Reverend Mitch Flesch officiating Interment will follow at Independent Order of Odd Fellows in Woodlawn, Illinois . Memorials may be made to the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
