Angie Neibel, 79, of Mount Vernon, Illinois went to be with the Lord at 3:19 P.M. September 4, 2018 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born September 27, 1938 in Clinton County, Illinois to the late Earl and Ozelma (Hill) Buchele. Angie married Don Neibel on May 28, 1960 in Boulder, Illinois. They were blessed with 58 years of marriage.
In addition to her husband, Angie is survived by her sons, Mark Neibel and wife, Angela of Marana, Arizona and Todd Neibel and wife, Amy of Carmi, Illinois; grandchildren, Ashley Price and husband, Jacob of Tucson, Arizona, Brett Neibel and wife, Katy of San Diego, California, Amanda Neibel of Carmi, Illinois, and Ashton Neibel of Chicago, Illinois; great-grandchildren, Jordan Price and Harper Price, both of Tucson, Arizona; sister-in-law, Clara McCoy of Cloverport, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and hundreds of piano students.
In addition to her parents, Angie was preceded in death by her brother, Scotty Buchele.
Angie taught private home piano lessons for over 60 years and also worked as a substitute teacher for several public schools. She was a member of Logan Street Baptist Church and helped organize a cancer support group called Forever Sisters. Angie’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
A Visitation will be held Friday, September 7, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Logan Street Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Logan Street Baptist Church with Brother Alan Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Angie’s honor to the Logan Street Baptist Church Building Fund.
